Dear Parents without Partners,

My name is Kristin Celello.  I am a history professor at Queens College and author of Making Marriage Work: A History of Marriage and Divorce in the Twentieth-Century United States.  I am now working a book about the history of the post-divorce family in the U.S. and I have become very interested in the early history of Parents without Partners as part of this larger project.

At the suggestion of Janet Gallinati, I was wondering if any of you had historical materials--correspondence, minutes, photographs, news clippings, early newsletters  etc.—that you would be willing to share with me?  I am particularly interested in the earliest years of the organization (1956-1965 or so).  I will gladly take care of any expenses related to copying/mailing such materials. I am also willing to share materials that I have collected from various archival sources.  Also, if anyone was a member in those early years and would be willing to give me an interview, I would be happy to set one up.

Thank you in advance for your time and help.  My e-mail address is: kristin.celello@qc.cuny.edu.

Best wishes,

Kristin Celello
